Not happy with the Argiris campaign

In these post Blagojevich days, when public trust in elected officials is practically nonexistent, one has to wonder what Trustee Dean Argiris is thinking. His signs violate the very ordinance he voted for and his website and logo include the official village logo which should reflect official village business not political ambition.

Mr. Argiris takes a position on his website that “transparency is a foundation of good governance” but his actions indicate a misguided sense of what it means to be a public servant versus a self-serving public official. We’ve had enough self-service from elected officials and need to hold all — including local — candidates accountable to walk the walk, not just talk the talk!

If this is how he runs his campaign, we don’t need him in the office of village president.
