Hersey shuts out Barrington
Casey Weyhrich’s second-half goal helped propel host Hersey to a 1-0 victory over Barrington in a Mid-Suburban League girls soccer crossover matchup Wednesday.
Morgan Harris made 9 saves to earn the shutout for the Huskies.
Hoffman 2, Wheeling 0: Ale Alonso scored with an assist from Jessica Sanchez and Tara Jablonski did likewise with a helper from Natalia Pena to help Hoffman Estates to a 2-0 victory over Wheeling in a Mid-Suburban League crossover Wednesday.
Francesca Van made 2 saves in goal for the Hawks.
Elk Grove 1, Conant 0: A second-half goal from Nikki Zaino with an assist by Sarah Stram was the difference as the host Grens earned an MSL crossover victory. Melissa Solorio made 6 saves in earning the shutout for Elk Grove.
St. Charles East 3, Schaumburg 2: The visiting Saxons held a 1-0 lead the half before allowing 3 second-half goals to the Saints.
Jenna Eaker and Brooke Molitor had the goals for Schaumburg.
Prospect 6, Rolling Meadows 1: Freshman Andi Marfilius led the scoring effort with 3 goals as host Prospect netted a Mid-Suburban League victory over the visiting Mustangs.
Emily Novak and Allison McCabe also scored for Prospect, and Sarah LaCost found the back on the net on a penalty kick.
