New Name, New Season and New Focus At Arranmore Center for the Arts in 2013
Naperville, Illinois – It has been a busy off-season for the folks at Arranmore Center for the Arts. Now called ArranmoreArts, the non-profit's mission and vision have changed. The non-profit is no longer tied to a single arts center concept and is now focused on “creating ‘signature' events, curating innovative performances and original art installations, and collaborating with other organizations to deliver unique arts and educational opportunities in communities throughout the Western suburbs.
Music lovers can still enjoy the wildly popular Cabernet Cabaret Concerts at Arranmore Farm and Polo Club (formerly Arranmore Farm) in Oswego. However, 2013 also brings some new programming, including a children's literary theatre series called Bookwork Adventures, a “Farm to Fork” event featuring a celebrity chef, and a DuPage County venue—Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook.
Whole Foods in Naperville is even getting in on the fun this year, offering “Café Cabaret”, gourmet packaged meals for four that can be ordered ahead of time and picked up before each of the Cabernet Cabaret concerts.
“The community support we've received is overwhelming,” says Founder and Executive Director, Shannon Greene-Robb, “and we determined that we can make the biggest impact by focusing less on creating a space for art and more on bringing that art to people in their own communities.”
