Elgin CC splits with Prairie State

Bobby Thorson, Sam Komel and Kyle Leone drove in runs and Jake Perkins struck out eight in six innings to lift the Elgin Community College baseball team to a 3-2 win in Game 2 and a split with Prairie State on Saturday. Prairie State won the first game 5-4.

Robert Sadowski came on and got the save in Game 2 for the Spartans. Thorson had a double.

In the opener, John Menken was 2-for-3 with a home run and 3 RBI for ECC. Jake Buhmann added 2 hits and Drew Peters suffered the loss on the mound.
