Local Dance Team Wins Again at National Dance Competition

(Chicago) – Erwin and Iwona Rybczynski of the Interclub Academy of Dance placed second in the American Rhythm Rising Star category and third in the American Rhythm Open Professional category at the St. Louis Star Ball Ballroom Dance Competition. The Rybczynskis placed first in the Professional Showdance, Professional Rising Star and Open Professional.

American Rhythm is a dance category that includes the Cha Cha, Rumba, Mambo, Bolero and Swing dance styles. The St. Louis Star Ball is a Ballroom and Latin Dance competition that features hundreds of competitive dance teams from across the country.

The Rybczynski’s have now placed 3rd or better at three consecutive dance competitions in the 2013 season. Earlier this year they placed 3rd in the Nashville Starz American Rhythm Open Professional category and later won the same category at the Indiana Challenge.

Erwin and Iwona Rybczynski own and operate the Interclub Academy of Dance in Niles. The Interclub Academy of Dance is a Chicago area dance studio that offers Ballroom, Hip Hop and Latin (Salsa) dance classes.
