Former Packers player sends anti-bullying message

GREENDALE, Wis. — Former Green Bay Packers player Gilbert Brown is helping high school students stand up against bullying.

Brown visited the high school in the Milwaukee suburb of Greendale Wednesday night where he talked about his own experiences growing up and being bullied. The former nose tackle says bullying about his weight had a life changing impact.

Linda Lee leads a group called Greendale Against Bullying. She says the meeting was about helping students have the courage to take a stand against bullying.

WISN-TV says some of those at the gathering say face-to-face bullying has given way to cyber bullying. Mary Braun says parents may not even be aware of some of the online bullying.
