Why no common sense in D.C.?

Why no common sense in D.C.?

The president’s recent decision to stop all White House tours shows him to be petty and small. His own spokesman told the press that it was the White House’s decision to stop these tours, even though the president himself stated that it was not.

The president’s recent statements that we do not have a deficit problem are very worrying when we currently have over $16 trillion of debt. He does not want to address spending cuts, he wants to add more taxes.

Although he didn’t begin it, this president has accelerated the gap between the very rich and the very poor by his policies and passed legislation. We need to reduce the spending at the federal level, and then address cutting corporate tax loopholes in a tax reform bill.

New regulations in the Health Care Act are now coming to light that will hurt many of the steadily diminishing middle class. Since Congress didn’t read the bill before they passed it, they are just now finding out what is in it. Why doesn’t anyone in Washington seem to have any common sense anymore?
