Suspect sought in Schaumburg armed robbery

Schaumburg police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of a loan office Wednesday morning.

A man wearing a mask reportedly entered the 1st Loans office at 900 S. Roselle Road at 11:50 a.m. March 13, displayed a silver colored folding knife and escaped with a small amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are seeking a suspect based on the description of a man seen in the business and walking along Roselle Road without a mask before the robbery. These sightings allowed Schaumburg detectives to prepare a computer-generated likeness of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male with a lighter complexion, 20 to 25 years old, 6 foot 1 to 6 foot 2 inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds, with brown hair.

When seen by witnesses, the suspect wore a baseball cap, hoodie, a black puffy down style coat and black pants.

Anyone spotting the suspect is asked to call 911 immediately. Anybody with information about the suspect is asked to call the Schaumburg Police Investigations Division at (847) 882-3534.
