Argonauts Football and Cheer shine at Little Scholar Banquet

Argonauts football players and cheerleaders took part in the Pop Warner Little Scholars Banquet this past Saturday which was held at the Schaumburg Convention Center and took home well over three thousand dollars in cash and prizes as recognition for their hard work in the classroom.

With requirements like a 96% GPA and mandatory volunteer work as the main criteria not many kids qualify. However the Argonauts continue to be well represented every year. The wonderful work our teachers put in to get these boys and girls to this point is amazing and very much appreciated. The 34 student athletes and families who attended from the Argonauts were part of a crowd that reached well over 1800 in attendance from all over the Midwest. No other youth football program in the Algonquin/Carpentersville area is able to offer such a wonderful opportunity for our kids and that is one of the biggest reasons why the Argonauts choose to part of a youth football league like Pop Warner.

Two kids in particular took home special honors as being the top sixth and eighth graders respectively, and those boys were Trevor Laffin and Conrad Beech. Conrad (pictured above) received a 500.00 check for his efforts, which he said will be used to pay for books as he will be attending Jacobs High School in the fall. Here is a list of the Argonauts Football and Cheer Little Scholars for the 2012 season: Enrique Aramburo, Noah Capistran, Brandon Ceisel, David Dudych, Trevor Laffin, Conrad Beech, Tyler Krumsee, Tyson Pachniak, Justin Iwanski, Kyle Hartswigen, Amber Combs, Abigail Pease, Dylan Demuth, Evan Echlin, Nicholas Fakhoury, Alex Farfan, Owen Grzynkowicz, Ryan Hodor, Kaiya Jernigan, Ryan Lascano, Brandon Martinez, Jacob Mobeck, Mackenzie Oates, Nicholas Patrician, Andrew Rechsteiner, Cameron Reedy, Quinn Ryan, Bryan Sanden, Krzyszstof Solis, Aidan Sproule, Bradley Stec, Cameron Steinmetz, Daniel Valeria and Nick Wolfe.

Now that the 2012 season is officially over we look forward to continue growing as the most respected Youth Football and Cheer program in the community. We are fortunate to have kids from Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Carpentersville, Gilberts, Crystal Lake, Dundee, Sleepy Hollow and Huntley. Argonauts Football and Cheer has no boundaries and is the ONLY program in the area that has the opportunity to travel out of state and compete against the best from around the country. With a Midwest Regional Championship in 2011 by one of our football teams and a great showing by our Cheerleaders in Florida this past December it is becoming increasingly clear that we are doing things right on the field and in the classroom.

They will be having a walk-in registration Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Randall Oaks Recreational Center, 500 N. Randall Road in West Dundee. We have a limited number of available spots at all of our levels of football and cheer which can be found on www.algonquinargonauts.com. We also offer online registration and a convenient payment plan to our families.
