Open house on Route 45 plans

The Illinois Department of Transportation hosts a public hearing on plans involving Route 45 from Route 132 to Route 173 from 4:40 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at Millburn West School, 640 Freedom Way, Lindenhurst. The purpose is to provide an overview of the planning process, present the planned improvements for the selected Millburn Bypass alternative — including likely future improvements to Route 45 north and south of the bypass area — and to provide an opportunity for public comment. The session will be an open-house format, in which interested persons can attend any time. Exhibits will be on display and an audiovisual presentation will be shown approximately every 15 minutes. IDOT representatives and project consultant team members will be available to answer questions regarding the project.
