Have you ever wondered why? Why you can't lose the weight and keep it off? Why you can't get and stay clean and sober? Why your relationships all end the same way--badly? Countless times each, we make choices based on what we believe about ourselves, others, and even God (Spirit, the Universe, our Higher Power). According to Jerry Troyer, author of "Coming Out to Ourselves, Admitting, Accepting, and Embracing Who We Truly Are", these choices are often based on feelings of shame, guilt, and regret and can keep us from expressing and experiencing all he good that Life has for us. Self-defeating behaviors and patterns can express in or be the result of a messy divorce, troubling financial challenge, confusion or shame about our sexual orientation, feelings of abandonment or rejection from being adopted, sexual abuse, or other equally difficult life experiences.
Rev. Jerry Troyer will present his interactive workshop, "It's My Story And It's Sticking To Me" at the Center for Spiritual Evolution, 204 Spring St., in Cary, Illinois on Friday, March 15 from 7 to 9 PM. Suggested donation $20.
