Tri-Village Garden Club

Tri-Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood welcomes everyone to hear speaker, Don Guzon on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 explain the BASICS OF PRUNING- Proper Tools, Timing, Techniques, and Best Practices. Don is an alum of Southern Illinois University's College of Agriculture. His studies focused on Plant & Soil Science, Horticulture, Hydrology, Fine Arts and Food and Nutrition. He is a Master Gardener, Animal Behaviorist, Naturalist, Patented Inventor, Published Photographer, Landscape Designer, Garden Coach and the owner of Root Feeders, Inc. a Landscape Design, Consulting and Training Company. Don is an adjunct horticultural staff member at both Mc Henry County College and College of Lake County. He has hosted a Green Industry Horticultural Talk Show for the last seven years. He is also the creator of a Green Innovation Think Tank and was given the high honor of being the first individual asked to create, design and construct a Display Garden at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show. Please join us at the Sonya Crawshaw Branch Library, on Schick Road and 4300 Audrey Lane, in Hanover Park, IL at 7:00pm. Don will discuss the basics of pruning as they pertain to the overall health and aesthetics of landscape plants. Covered groups will be herbaceous perennials, woody ornamentals, evergreens and trees. His "Basics of Pruning" program is informative and entertaining. He has plenty of display items and handouts. You will receive very practical information. Poplar Creek Library offers meeting room space to the community. It neither endorses nor sponsors the event or presenting individual or organization.
