Kaneland SilverStars take 1st place at Grayslake Invitational

On Feb. 23-24, the Kaneland SilverStars feeder basketball teams for fifth grade through eighth grade, participated in the Grayslake Invitational Basketball Tournament. After playing for 5 months in the Neuqua Valley League, this was the last series of games for the season.

All of the teams played great games and the fifth-grade SilverStars went undefeated in the tournament to end their season with a first-place trophy.

Other noteworthy accomplishments for the program this year were the fourth-grade team going 3-0 to win the President's Day Grayslake/Libertyville Tournament. In the SilverStars Annual Holiday Tournament the sixth-grade squad took first place while the eighth-graders took second place. Congratulations to all teams on a great year of basketball.
