Ice House Mall holds model search and baby contest

The Ice House Mall & Village Shops will host its 4th annual Sunburst Model Search and Baby Contest at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9. Contestants may range from infant to 27 years of age. Entry forms are available at mall stores.

Sunburst Model Search and Pageant is celebrating more than 33 years of business. Age divisions for contestants begin with Baby (infants under 1 year), Tiny (one year) and Little (2 and 3 years of age). Boys may enter in the infant to 3 year division. Each child in these age divisions will be asked to go onstage with one adult and will be judged on their smile, overall appearance and personality.

Boys and girls do not compete together. The next age division is Pee Wee (age 4-6), Little Miss (7-10 years) Pre-Teen (14-17 years) and Miss (18-27 years). Each contestant entering in their age group will be judged on beauty, poise, projection and overall appearance. Contestants may wear either a short or long dress. Sun dresses aren’t allowed.

Every contestant will receive a trophy. Pageant winners in each age division will also receive a crown, trophy and an entry fee paid to state finals. Runner-up contestants will receive a trophy and their entry fee paid to state finals. There will be six runner-up winners in each age division. There will be a photogenic winner in each age group. State finals will be held in May.
