Des Plaines City Clerk Gloria J. Ludwig Issues Important Election Information

Des Plaines City Clerk Gloria J. Ludwig has issued the following list of dates pertinent to the April 9, 2013 local election:

Thursday, February 28, 2013: First day for any registered voter within the confines of the U.S.to make application by mail or in person to the Cook County Clerk’s Office for an official ballot.

Tuesday, March 12, 2013: Last day for voter registration or transfer of registration within the City Clerk’s Office.

Wednesday, March 13, 2013: First day of grace period registration and grace period voting in the office of the Cook County Clerk’s Office or at a location designated for this purpose by the election authority. Grace period voting may be done by mail at the discretion of the election authority.

Monday, March 25, 2013: First day for early voting at Des Plaines City Hall or at a location designated by the election authority for this purpose.

Saturday, April 6, 2013: Last day for grace period registration and grace period voting in the office of the election authority. Grace period voting may be done by mail at the discretion of the election authority.

Saturday, April 6, 2013: Last day for early voting at Des Plaines City Hall or at a location designated by the election authority.

April 9, 2013: Election Day

The City Clerk’s Office is open 8:30 AM - 5 PM, Monday- Friday, Room 602, Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner Street. Contact 847-391-5311 for more information.
