Wood Dale, Naperville police work with FBI to catch bank robbers

Two DuPage County police departments and the FBI are investigating two separate Friday bank robberies.

The first robbery occurred at 3:25 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank, 130 W. Devon Ave., in Wood Dale.

According to police the male bank robber, estimated to be between 50 years and 60 years old with gray facial hair, was armed with a silver semiautomatic handgun. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Roughly three hours later, in an unrelated robbery, a man entered the Oxford Bank at 2920 83rd St. in Naperville and showed a handgun as he demanded cash from the tellers.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled on foot.
