SHS to buy iPads for students

The Stevenson High School board on Monday agreed to purchase 2,000 iPads that will be used by the entire freshman and sophomore classes during the 2013-14 school year. In addition, the board approved the purchase of 280 MacBook Pro laptops for classroom use and 20 iMac desktop computers for the special education program. The purchases, which total nearly $1.8 million, are part of the school’s Stevenson Mobile Academic Real-time Technology effort.
