Recruiting for open air market:
Small business owners involved with producing specialty crops, baked goods, cheeses, meats, preserved foods, coffee, smoothies, and other beverages, as well as concessions, specialty retail items, and musicians are invited to learn about opportunities at an open air European-style market at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Aspen Drive Library, 701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. Space is limited. Attendees are asked to RSVP at summermarkets@sbcglobal.net or (312) 575-0286. The French Market is scheduled to open in late spring at the Metra station on Route 45 in Vernon Hills.
