NISRA to hold info, planning workshop

Parents, caregivers and professionals involved with children with disabilities can gain valuable information at a free workshop being hosted by the Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association Foundation Tuesday, March 5.

Parents can plot the course for their family’s future after hearing from experts in law and financial planning, including one who has a teenager with a disability.

Topics at “The ABCs of Special Needs Planning” include special needs trusts, wills, guardianship, trustees, lifestyle, budget planning, estate planning, government benefits, Medicaid, Medicare and Letter of Intent.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the NISRA office, 285 Memorial Drive in Crystal Lake. To RSVP, call (815) 459-0737, ext. 231.
