D214 Community Education offers classes to a ‘new you’ starting Feb. 13

Cardio workout and Frank Sinatra? Hybrid coaching for a better you? District 214 Community Education is offering new classes that will help you strike a balance between your mind and body.

Exercise to the tunes of Frank Sinatra and the boys through the new Swing and Stretch class. No kidding! If you love Ol’ Blue Eyes and dance exercise, this class that starts on Wednesday, Feb. 13, or Saturday, Feb. 16, is for you. This is a no-impact exercise class that provides a cardio workout, body core, balance and range of motion development.

Course # 3283 will run for 12 weeks from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 13-May 8, in Room A238. Course # 3284 will also run for 12 weeks from 11 a.m.-noon starting on Saturday, Feb. 16-May 18.

Both classes will be at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Cost for each course is $95 or $85 for Gold Card Club members.

The next class, Health and Wellness Coaching, is hybrid coaching at its best. It combines individual coaching as well as group meetings to help you define your health and wellness goals. The class will meet as a group and individually with the instructor, who will help you set your vision, focus on your strengths and motivating factors, identify obstacles and much more. The goal is to empower you to take charge of your health.

Course # 3286 will meet for six weeks, four times as a group and twice individually. Cost is $99 or

$89 for Gold Card Club members. Course # 3286A will meet for 12 weeks, nine times as a group and three times individually. Cost for this class is $199 or $179 for Gold Card Club members. Both classes will start on Feb. 16 and will also be at Forest View Education Center. Individual consultations can be booked by phone, Internet, or Skype.
