Spring Valley Chorus present harmony variety show March 9

Spring Valley Chorus to Present Show Featuring Men's and Women's A Cappella Singing, March 9 in Schaumburg

Saturday, March 9 at 3PM the Spring Valley Chorus of Schaumburg will present an A Cappella harmony Variety Show at the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg.

The show will feature classic and vintage American songs sung in 4-part A Cappella harmony by the Spring Valley women's chorus, the New Tradition men's chorus and the Purdue A Cappella Club from Hammond, IN.

Fans of vocal music will be entertained with soaring harmonies, ringing chords and the dynamic stage presentation that is unique to the Barbershop style of A Cappella harmony.

Both featured choruses have won many awards in regional and national competitions. The Purdue A Cappella Club is under direction of Stacey Haskins who is Assistant Director of the Spring Valley Chorus. This exciting group of young musicians are rising stars in the world of vocal music.

The Spring Valley Chorus is under the direction of Certified Director, Helen Giallombardo. The New Tradition Chorus is under the direction of Barbershop Harmony society Hall of Famer, Master Director, Master Arranger, coach, international and regional competition judge and international quartet champion, Jay Giallombardo.

The Giallombardo's are husband and wife. The couple's youngest daughter, Anna, is a member of the Spring Valley Chorus. All men and women chorus singers are members of either Sweet Adelines International or the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A) which are non-profit musical education organizations.
