Police: Schaumburg man threatened woman with knife
Police charged a 22-year-old Schaumburg man with attempted first-degree murder after they say an argument turned physical late Friday.
Marcos A. Milan-Soto also faces charges of aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated domestic battery in the attack, during which Schaumburg police say he held a knife to a woman’s throat and threatened to kill her.
Judge Jill Cerone Marisie set bail at $750,000 Monday for Milan-Soto, who authorities say pushed and slapped the woman and placed his hand over her mouth and nose to prevent her from breathing.
He pulled her hair and threw her into a wall, then shoved her head onto a balcony railing, said authorities say.
After that, authorities say, Milan-Soto jumped from the second-floor balcony and fled. He was later arrested at his brother’s apartment.
