Suspect called ‘Beauty Salon’ bandit faces charges in DuPage
An Evanston man whom police dubbed the “Beauty Salon” robber is facing additional criminal charges in connection with robberies at four DuPage County businesses, authorities said Friday.
Jason Logsdon, 41, of the 900 block of Chicago Avenue, was taken into custody Monday and charged with more than a dozen robberies in Cook County.
On Friday, DuPage authorities announced they charged Logsdon with four counts of felony armed robbery for cases that occurred over the past two months in DuPage County.
“Mr. Logsdon’s alleged crime spree knew no boundaries,” DuPage State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. “He allegedly went where he thought the easy money would be.”
In each of the DuPage robberies, a man wearing a disguise entered the business, pointed a pellet gun at a clerk and demanded money. After getting cash from the clerk, the suspect fled on foot, officials said.

타 at 9:55 a.m. Dec. 26 at Smokers Best along York Road in Bensenville.
타 at 6:11 p.m. Dec. 27 at Sport Clips along Roosevelt Road in Lombard.
타 at 10:42 a.m. Jan. 2 at Hair Cuttery along Roosevelt Road in Lombard.
타 at 10:50 a.m. Jan. 3 at Great Clips along Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn.
Authorities said Logsdon’s arrest was the result of a joint investigation by law enforcement agencies throughout the Chicago area.
“I would like to acknowledge the outstanding police work done by dozens of investigators and patrol officers that resulted in the arrest of this offender,” Lombard police Chief Ray Byrne said in a statement. “This case was a model of interagency cooperation where everyone shared information and worked together to take a serial armed robber off the street.”
If convicted on all four felony counts and required to serve consecutive sentences, Logsdon could be sentenced to a maximum of 120 years in prison for the DuPage cases, officials said.
Logsdon was being held Friday without bail in the Cook County jail, officials said.
