Camping World/Good Sam to expand new Tampa SuperCenter

Lincolnshire-based Camping World, the nation’s largest RV and outdoor retailer, said it will expand its recently opened SuperStore in Tampa, Fla. by 24 acres.

Plans are under way to expand the new I-4 Tampa SuperCenter to be the largest retail facility in the company’s 100 location network. The center, which opened last July, is currently undergoing expansion to expand and renovate into an 80,000 square foot facility, including 40 additional service bays and a new 17,000 square foot Camping World retail store and a state of the art collision center.

The new facility will be completed within seven months with the process starting in mid-February.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Camping World,” said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World. “This location will be the Flagship for Camping World Retail not only in Florida but in the entire US.”

The Camping World of Tampa features motor homes and towables from the finest manufacturers and brands including Winnebago Industries, Fleetwood, Thor Motor Coach, Itasca, Coleman, Heartland, Keystone, Forest River, Cross Roads, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Jayco, Starcraft, Coachmen and many more.

“This acquisition unquestionably positions Camping World to take the leadership position in the Southeastern United States. We look forward to delivering the highest quality and outstanding service that Camping World customers have come to know and expect across the country,” Lemonis said.
