'Casablanca,' 'Gone With the Wind' among the celebrated films

“Warner Brothers 20 Film Collection”

Warner Brothers Studios has put together a great collection of their films that have all won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The set is broken down into three chapters: 1929 to 1942, 1946 to 1959 and 1975 to 2006.

Included are such greats as “Gone With the Wind,” “Casablanca,” “Gigi,” “Ben Hur,” “Around the World in 80 Days,” “Amadeus,” “Chariots of Fire,” “Driving Miss Daisy,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “The Departed” and more.

“Downton Abbey: Season Three”

Fans around the world waited in great anticipation for the third season of the acclaimed PBS series “Downton Abbey.” A majestic country estate serves as the setting for a drama revolving around the Crawley family and their servants. World War I is ending, and the characters must face the changing times.

The ensemble cast is wonderful, but Maggie Smith is at the heart of the story. In season three, Shirley MacLaine joined the cast, and her interplay with Smith's Violet works well.

This is a series for the ages and has replaced “Upstairs, Downstairs” as the best drama ever produced for Masterpiece Theater.

There are two hours of bonus materials included on the three-disc set.

“Pan Am: Season One”

ABC canceled this series, a nostalgic drama about an airline set in 1963. The story centered around a pilot, his first officer and the four elite stewardesses whose trials and tribulations viewers followed. The show was well cast if short-lived, and the three-disc DVD set includes all 14 episodes.

There are three new underwater programs that the entire family will love and can view together. All three are available on Blu-ray with great high-definition visuals along with a pure digital sound. They are:

• “Amazing Ocean 3-D”

• “Fascination Coral Reef in 3-D”

• “Mysterious Worlds Underwater”
