St. Charles North actors to present ‘Twilight Zone’

The St. Charles North Drama Department will present its winter play, “The Twilight Zone,” Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in the high school auditorium, 255 Red Gate Road in St. Charles.

The play is four original episodes from the first two seasons of the classic television show, all written by Rod Serling. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, and Friday, Feb. 1, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for senior citizens.

“The Twilight Zone” will showcase the following four episodes:

타 “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street”: A small town goes mad when all the lights suddenly go out, and because of one crazy idea, they begin to turn on each other.

타 “Nightmare as a Child”: A woman with repressed memories meets a mysterious young girl that begins to help the woman remember the horrible tragedy in her life.

타 “The After Hours”: A woman shopping for a gold thimble finds herself locked in a department store overnight, when she begins to hear voices.

타 “The Obsolete Man”: An old librarian has been declared obsolete by a future society and it is up to him to decide how he will be distinguished.
