New Amphitheater Covering Going Up at the MAC

Workers install the new covering over the amphitheater outside of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage. The open-air covering will span the existing 60-foot diameter performance stage just south of the MAC. The permanent structure will include a fabric membrane suspended by cables, which will be supported by four concrete piers with stone veneers. Four permanent lights will illuminate the underside of the covering. The McAninch Arts Center is currently undergoing a $34 million renovation of its facilities, with completion expected in 2014.
