Backyard chickens make great neighbors!

I'm not only in favor of this but I see this as good,

wholesome and natural! This past fall, I visited several chicken coops on the recent WINDY CITY COOP tour and was pleased to see clean, well-maintained backyard chickens and coops in the crowded city of Chicago of all things!

Several suburbs have joined in this back to land movement with backyard chickens. The owners and their families take pride in raising chickens and they enjoy the obvious benefit of fresh eggs. Neighbors also benefit as they are invited

to visit and become educated on raising chickens.

I hope you will support approval of backyard chickens in Arlington Heights. Clearly neighbors I've met who are interested in backyard chickens have studied this carefully and wish to follow correct procedures. Raising chickens are a simple way to enjoy a traditional, natural, and organic life style in our busy high-tech world.
