Addison man accused of having child porn

A 23-year-old Addison man was being held on child pornography charges following an investigation by Carol Stream police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, officials said Friday.

Pedro Medrano-Delapaz, of the 500 block of Valerie Lane, was arrested Wednesday after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence. He was charged with nine felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force also participated in the investigation.

During an appearance in DuPage County circuit court, bail was set at $30,000. However, if Medrano-Delapaz posts the required amount, he would be transferred to the custody of ICE, which has placed a no-bond hold on him due to immigration charges, authorities said.
