Chicago Philharmonic Presents Chamber Music Series in Hinsdale

The award-winning Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players will kick-off a three concert chamber music series at the Union Church of Hinsdale on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 3 p.m. The concert Labor of Love: Schumann and More presents work by an all-female line-up of composers. The group will perform Germaine Tailleferre's Berceuse for Violin and Piano; Lili Boulanger's Nocturne for Cello and Piano; Amy Beach's Piano Trio and Clara Schumann's Piano Trio. Performers include Beatriz Helguera, Piano; Andy Snow, Cello and Mathias Tacke, Violin.

Concertgoers will enjoy an exceptional classical music performance in the sublime atmosphere of Union Church of Hinsdale. The Chicago Philharmonic is made up primarily of Lyric Opera Orchestra members and other top-tier professional musicians from the Chicago area. The group was recently named the official orchestra for the Joffrey Ballet.

The second concert in the series of three is Along the Danube on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. Featured works include Bela Bartok's Duos for Two Violins; Franz Schubert's String Trio in Bb Major, D. 471 and Ludwig van Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 59 No. 1. Performing will be Irene Radetzsky, Violin: Ann Palen, Violin; Benton Wedge, Viola; Matthew Agnew, Cello.

The group will welcome in spring with an all Mozart line-up on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. Springtime with Mozart will open with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Quartet G Minor for Piano, Violin, Viola and Cello. Then the group will perform the Quartet in B Flat Major for Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Cello. And Mozart's Quartet in D Major for Flute, Violin, Viola and Cello will round out the afternoon. Performers are Florentina Ramniceanu, Violin; Stephen Boe, Viola; Judy Stone, Cello; Diana Schmück, Piano; Kathy Pirtle, Clarinet and Donna Milanovich, Flute.

The concerts take place at Union Church of Hinsdale, 137 S. Garfield Ave, Hinsdale, IL 60521. Tickets for each concert are $15 in advance ($10 seniors 65 and up)/$20 at the door ($15 seniors 65 and up). Students are free.
