Curious about the natural world around you?
Bring your family to Elgin Public Museum’s Science Night on Friday, Jan. 11.
Different stations will be set up around the museum for kids and adults to conduct experiments, experience demonstrations and partake in discussions about this month’s topic: Geology.
Participants will crack open geodes, watch volcanoes explode, discover magnetic minerals in unusual places and more.
“Science Night: Geology!” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. It costs $2 per person, or free to museum members.
The Elgin Public Museum is located in Elgin’s Lords Park at 225 Grand Blvd.
This is a drop-in program — no registration required. Call (847) 741-6655 with any questions or for more information. Visit the website at www.elginpublicmuseum.org.Copyright © 2014 Paddock Publications, Inc. All rights reserved.
