Literacy Volunteers of Fox Valley receive grant

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley has received a $5,850 grant from The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for laptop computers, e-learning software and accounting software.

The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is a nonprofit philanthropic organization that administers individual charitable funds from which grants and scholarships are distributed to benefit the citizens of the greater Aurora area, the Tri-Cities and Kendall County.

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley helps adults acquire the literacy skills that they need to function more effectively in contemporary U.S. society. Through trained volunteers and organizational staff, it offers one-to-one tutoring focusing on reading, writing, speaking and understanding in English.
