Elgin museum hosts ‘Touching on Traditions’ festivities

As part of its ongoing “Touching on Traditions” festivities, the Elgin Public Museum invites you to a special Bison Feeding in Lords Park at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. Space is limited to 12, so call (847) 741-6655 or email russell_epm@cityofelgin.org to register. Cost is $2 per adult or $1 per child; free for museum members.

Start a winter holiday tradition with your family by visiting the Elgin Public Museum’s winter holiday exhibition, which features displays and objects of traditional holiday significance from 62 displays.

People from around the world who have made their homes in the Elgin area have brought with them a variety of beliefs and traditions. This variety has given the Elgin community a diversity that is now part of our cultural heritage.

“Touching on Traditions” is open daily through the end of the month. Hours are noon to 4 p.m.; noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 31.

Admission to the exhibit is $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 3-11. “Touching on Traditions” will be at the museum building in Elgin’s Lords Park, 225 Grand Blvd. Visit elginpublicmuseum.org.
