Bears player’s cause a worthy one

Bears player’s cause a worthy one

A few weeks ago I wrote an letter describing the plight of the people in Haiti. While waiting to watch the Bears game on a recent Sunday, I saw a pregame interview with player Kyle Adams in which he spoke about a project to help the orphans of Haiti. This undertaking is all about housing, schooling and training children with jobs skills they can use in their later lives.

Mr. Adams was so passionate about the project I felt compelled to make sure more people heard about it. He actively helps these children while being on the board to promote the project.

If you haven’t heard about it you can go online to “Ephraim Project” or call (785) 565-1535 to make a very worthwhile contribution to this organization. It’s tax-deductible, but that shouldn’t be your motivation. Think of how good you’ll feel giving to some child during this season of giving. Happy holidays should be something everyone is a part of.
