Tell God about your deepest desires this season

Christmas is a time of wonder. Lights twinkle and sparkle everywhere you look. Green wreaths with bright red bows adorn doors. Evergreen trees are strewn across tops of cars as buyers take them to their destination to decorate for their special occasion.
Amid all the obvious signs of Christmas is excitement of things that are hidden deep within our hearts — the longing for dreams to be fulfilled.
Children bubble over with this enthusiasm as they express desires, making lists and sharing them with others. Romantic dreams are shared as engagement rings (I had a Christmas engagement) with bright shining diamonds are given in an expression of the desire for love and lasting relationship.
Have you pondered your desires this special season?
We all have them. Have you waited so long that they are laying dormant in your heart? God is waiting for us to come to him with those special dreams and desires.
I have come to realize that he is the one who deposited many of them there. He is just waiting for us to ask for the fulfillment of them.
The first Christmas was a time when God birthed his personal dream of bringing us a savior through the birth of his son. He gave Mary a dream to give natural birth to that vision and made her dream come true.
God manifests dreams for relationships to be restored; physical healings to take place; financial blessings to flow; and careers to succeed. He also transforms our hearts and minds, healing our hurts and causing us to think in positive and loving ways.
Let’s discover the wonder of Christmas again, as we share our true heart’s dreams and desires with the Lord.
Only he has the ability to place new dreams in our hearts and make old ones come true. I pray God grants your deepest dreams this Christmas!
