Holiday vacation activities

Lake County Family YMCA has a way for parents to keep their grade school-aged children engaged in quality activities during the holiday vacation period. School Days Out at the Central Lake Y keeps kids busy with swimming, enrichment activities, crafts, reading and more from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, Thursday, Dec. 27, Friday, Dec. 28, Wednesday, Jan. 2, Thursday, Jan. 3, and Friday, Jan. 4. Fees are $45 per day for Lake County Family YMCA members and $55 for community members. Students enrolled in the Y’s PEAK program receive a special discounted rate of $25 per day for School Days Out. Parents are urged to register early. They may do so in person at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, or by calling (847) 367-6797 after 7:30 a.m. with credit card information.
