Grayslake museum holiday event is Dec. 9

The Grayslake Historical Society will host a holiday open house, 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, 164 Hawley St. Visitors can talk to Santa, see a vintage sleigh, enjoy holiday treats, listen to seasonal music and make children’s crafts. A new exhibit opens, “Aprons: Ties to the Past,” that uses occupational aprons to tell the stories of people who were part of Grayslake’s history. Info: (847) 223-7663 or email charenehan@aol.com.
