Band to perform Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ at ECC

Echoes of Pompeii: Tribute to Pink Floyd will perform the historic album “The Dark Side of the Moon” live at the Elgin Community College Arts Center on Saturday, Dec. 15. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the ECC Arts Center’s Blizzard Theatre located in Building H on the Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

The band will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the recording of “The Dark Side of the Moon” by performing the album in its entirety. Released in 1973, the album spent 15 years on the album charts. The audience will hear all 10 tracks, from “Time” to “Money” to “Great Gig in the Sky,” as well as other Pink Floyd favorites.

In addition, Echoes of Pompeii will fill the theater with the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the legendary rock ensemble: including laser lights, videos, and high quality of musicianship.

Tickets for this concert are $30. Tickets for all performances in the ECC Arts Center are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC box office located in the arts center.
