Northbrook Community Synagogue expands activities at Dec. 9 Chanukah celebration

Northbrook Community Synagogue has expanded plans for their annual Chanukah celebration from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9. The event is free and open to the community.

The Chanukah celebration will feature a special Chanukah-themed science show, featuring Dr. Art Friedman's Eureka Discoveries program.

Lunch including latkes and sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts) will be served. There will be an opportunity for children to make their own dreydels at the arts and crafts table, get their faces painted, and take part in Israeli dancing.

Also, the annual Chanukah gift boutique will be open.
