COD's Concert Choir, Chamber Singers perform Nov. 29

The College of DuPage Chamber Choir and Chamber Singers will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the Turner Conference Center in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000 at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Performances by student groups will be relocated throughout the 2012-2013 season, while the College's 25-year-old McAninch Arts Center undergoes a $35 million renovation project.

Both groups perform under the direction of Lee Kesselman, COD choral director since 1981. Tickets are $4.

The 65-member choir will sing a selection of music by Czerny, Elliot Levine, Z. Randall Stroope as well as Gospel, spirituals and music for the holiday season.

The 26-member Chamber Singers, who recently performed at the fall conference of the Illinois Choral Directors Association, will perform madrigals, American hymn tune arrangements, holiday music and works by Lee Kesselman.
