Attend meetings to learn more about CASA Kane County

CASA Kane County is “Looking for a Few Good Men.”

Join them for drinks and appetizers and hear from some of our guys how much of a difference you can make in a child’s life as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

The informational session will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the upstairs room at the Elgin Public House, 219 E. Chicago St. in Elgin.

CASA Kane County is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the juvenile court system.

Information meetings: If you would like to become an advocate for children, CASA Kane County will hold general information meetings in November in two locations. Most meetings are in the CASA-Kane County office on the fourth floor of the historic Kane County Courthouse, 100 S. Third St., Geneva.

The schedule will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Nov. 19 and 26; and 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 30.

On Thursday, Nov. 29, it will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at Graham’s 318, 318 S. Third St., upstairs room, Geneva.
