Arlington Hts. food drive runs through Nov. 20

The third annual Arlington Food Drive is looking for donations through Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Local residents are asked to help contribute to the effort to restock the shelves at the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. The drive is hosted and run by Lavelle Law Charities which has 13 drop box locations throughout Arlington Heights.

“We want to remind everyone about the importance of the Arlington Food Drive,” said coordinator Heather Slipkevych of Lavelle Law.

The drive collects nonperishable food items along with diapers and formula to be delivered to the Wheeling Township Food Pantry which expects to serve additional families this month.

“With Thanksgiving and the holiday season just around the corner, this is a critical time for everyone to help out in any way they can to take care of the many families in need this year,” she said.
