Hoffman Estates Jaycees collects for food pantry

The Hoffman Estates Jaycees thanks its volunteers, Valli Produce and all their generous customers who Made a Difference on Saturday, Oct. 27.

As part of the national Make A Difference Day, the Hoffman Estates Jaycees held a drive to collect food and nonperishable items to help stock the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry. As a result, the group collected over 10 carts of items.

The Hoffman Estates Chapter of the Jaycees is one of the 1,000 local chapters throughout the United States. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to network and develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community. The Hoffman Estates chapter is always looking for new members.

The Hoffman Estates Jaycees meets at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Hoffman Estates village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
