Eyewitness: Shopping center collapses in Ghana

ACCRA, Ghana — Eyewitnesses say that the top three floors of a six-story shopping center collapsed in Accra, Ghana, trapping people.

Kojo Boadi, an eyewitness, told The Associated Press that search and rescue teams were working Wednesday to free those caught in the shopping center belonging to the Melcom Group in the Achimota neighborhood of Accra.

No figure on deaths and casualties was immediately known.
