Support for Romney ‘shallow’
Your support for Mr. Romney seems as shallow as his own “plans.”
You praise Obama for passing “landmark health care legislation” but wish the Republicans had cooperated with that. It’s not his fault the opposition started by promising to do everything possible to cause him to fail. And, in case you hadn’t noticed, the “brink of the worst calamity since the Great Depression” was just about four years ago when President Obama was first elected.
What about the budget deficit? Do you really think Romney can balance the budget and increase military expenditures without raising taxes? What about health care, which Romney promises to repeal? Would you suggest healing a divided nation by leaving 30 million or 40 million people without health insurance?
The Daily Herald was right to support Obama four years ago. You just didn’t have enough courage to stick with your convictions.
