Character, service matter in House

I am a teacher and have supported Carol Sente since she was appointed and ran for office in 2010.

She has a passion for education, serves on the education caucus, is vice chair of higher education and passed a very important bill this year improving school safety which had over a dozen opponents at the beginning. But through compromise, having an open mind, and incorporating opponents’ suggestions, that bill was signed into law.

My union, the IEA, endorsed her opponent and although I respect that decision, I believe they haven’t looked closely enough at the facts. Carol listens to ALL voices concerned about education and discusses improvements to education with literally every teacher she meets.

Carol is an excellent legislator and public servant. Her character and service matter to me and I will be supporting Carol.
