I took this shot along the Winfield Good Old Days parade route in September. I was looking for a "unique view of the parade, not the standard shot. Then I saw the beat of a different drum. I walked along with the West Chicago Community High School marching band, and took a few action shots of the drums. I tweaked the image in Photoshop Elements to bring out the excitement of the parade.

My son Steve and I were hiking around Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park when we accidentally surprised this bull moose grazing at the lake's edge. He gave us a nervous grunt and quickly moved toward the middle of the shallow lake to resume his eating.
