CLC announces Veterans Day plans

College of Lake County has announced plans for a Veterans Day ceremony set for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 in room C005 in the C Wing auditorium on the Grayslake flagship campus, 19351 W. Washington St. The ceremony’s keynote speaker will be Debra Lewis, who served 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman. She retired as a hospital corpsman first class. Lewis served as a field medic, dermatology technician, instructor, recruiter and recruit division commander during her military career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College of Missouri and is pursuing her master’s in human resource development and leadership from Webster University. She works as a command school coordinator at Great Lakes Naval Station near North Chicago.
