Grading the Bears: Game 6

Game ball:

The more you watch Charles Tillman in action, the more you have to love the way the guy plays the game. The veteran corner had a pair of forced fumbles, a pass breakup in the end zone and kept Calvin Johnson without a reception until late in the third quarter.

Offense

Quarterback: B-

For guts alone, Jay Cutler would rate an A. His numbers weren’t that great Monday night, but the effort and the win was.

Running backs: B+

The Bears needing a big rushing night — particularly in the second half — and Matt Forte and Michael Bush came through big-time.

Receivers: B+

Two words: Brandon Marshall. Enough said.

Offensive line: C+

The line gave Cutler protection early, but things changed. Run blocking solid throughout, though.

Defense

Defensive line: B

That rotating lineman system seems to be working pretty well.

Linebackers: B

Lance Briggs solid as usual and Brian Urlacher had his most active game of the season.

Secondary: A

Calvin Johnson was a nonfactor thanks to Peanut Tillman. Another stellar game for the unit as whole.

Special teams: C

Adam Podlesh had a real nice night, but how weird was it to see a Robbie Gould field goal blocked?

Coaching: B

Great schemes defensively and offensively, they did just enough.
