Life experience recommends Kennedy
While I have only met Chris Kennedy since the election started, I have researched and watched him closely. He is intelligent, has experience in ALL aspects of the law and has the greatest of integrity.
Besides all of that, there are three aspects of his life experience that causes me to support him.
First, he has consistently advocated for the disabled. He has been instrumental in getting numerous Illinois laws passed to assist families and people with disabilities. This has required working in Springfield with both parties.
Secondly, he experienced firsthand the death of his cousin, which was caused by torture and murder. Chris worked on the case. He was a strong advocate for his family. He understands what happens when victim’s rights are ignored. He continues to be an active worker for victim’s rights.
He is the only candidate that has continually said that he will set up a section of the state’s attorney’s office for victims of sex crimes. This is a personal issue for me. It affects us all as one in four women are sexually assaulted some time in their life.
Men are also victims of sex crimes.
I cannot think of a finer candidate with legal experience, personal integrity, shown record for victims and the rights and an understanding and plan for the victims of sex crimes. I support Chris Kennedy for the Lake County state’s attorney.
